Jean-Daniel Dupas	8fad266101	Make pkgconfig_generate() explicitly return 0 in instead of returning without value when the target library is disabled. If it does not explicitly return 0, when the last library is disabled (swscale), the final "configure" exit value is 1, even if the configure script is successfully executed. So it breaks scripts that invoke configure and rely on 0 for success and 1 for failure. Patch by Jean-Daniel Dupas reverse(<org.shadowlab@devlists>). Måns Rullgård	7c1bb9143e	Fix lavfi pixdesc test This test verifies the pixdesc code by comparing the output with and without a filter which should have no effect on the image. Since the available pixel formats depend on the byte order of the machine, a simple reference checksum is not possible. The test originally tried to solve this by generating a reference file on the fly. The problem with this is that the test framework expects the reference file in the source tree, and writing to the source tree is not allowed. To avoid complicating the test framework, we instead provide two reference files and select which to use based on the byte order. Måns Rullgård	0884fadf68	configure: fix symver detection with icc 10 Apparently the compiler sometimes bypasses the normal assembler, in which case the asm label variant works. If the file contains any inline asm, this bypassing is not done, and the assembler chokes on invalid syntax. Inserting a dummy asm() statement in the test when the compiler supports it makes sure no shortcuts are taken and the test fails as it should. Diego Biurrun	2138dc99fc	Add _XOPEN_SOURCE=600 to CPPFLAGS on NetBSD. This make NetBSD compile out of the box at the cost of a hack, but a locally contained one that is preferable to the one used in the wild. Currently the NetBSD FATE box adds -D_NETBSD_SOURCE to CPPFLAGS to work around broken system headers. Since it is unlikely for NetBSD to fix their headers, it is better to use a standard flag instead of a system-specific one. To compile it, you need to have the system header dxva2api.h (either from microsoft or using http://downloads.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/contrib/dxva2api.h) The generated libavcodec.dll does not depend directly on any new lib as the necessary objects are given by the application using FFmpeg. At least for cross-compilation with Gentoo gcc 4.4.2 it fixes the build errors due to GPREL 22 being insufficient for the .bss size of > 4 MB without it. Why these errors do not appear with static builds is unclear, it is not due to PIC (shared builds with PIC disabled show the same issue). This makes the vorbis decoder about 5% faster. Not much else uses little-endian read/write extensively. GCC generates horrible PPC code for the default AV_[RW]B64 (which uses a packed struct), so we override it with a plain pointer cast. The bug[1] is exposed when gcc decides to put some data in a common section (i.e. data that will be used by more than one object). It will suggest the data to be aligned, but binutils >= 2.19 will fail to properly align it. Thus if the data requires any alignment greater than 4, the application will crash. The workaround prevents gcc from putting data in a common section, instead putting it in a properly aligned section.
