fe0c188b4a This header just needs stdint.h, not inttypes.h, which is a superset of 
stdint.h.  This has the sideeffect of fixing the build on Interix.

6e8b982bcc Move *malloc() out of tree.c, that way the code can be used with 
flat arrays which have lower overhead than millions of mallocd() elements.

5e4c7ca224 Add attribute that forces alignment of stack to functions that need it. 
Necessary for systems that don't align by default to 16 bytes, required by some
SSE instructions.
Requires GCC >= 4.2.
